The Brees Dream Foundation – NFL superstar Drew Brees’ foundation – has made an incredible R1 million donation to the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport (SAS). This was announced at the launch of digital security token TurnCoin’s launch in Stellenbosch in July 2021.
Drew Brees is the Global Ambassador for the VirtualStaX brand, powered by TurnCoin, and a key partner of the new global fan experience platform.
The Brees Dream Foundation’s generous donation to the SAS cements the belief in this internationally renowned incubator of both elite professionals and amateur athletes from South Africa and beyond. This extraordinary facility has built an incredible reputation for excellence on its mentorship and scholarship of young athletes needing an extra level of coaching and support.
Rob Benade, CEO of the SAS, was incredibly grateful to Drew and Brees Dream Foundation. He praised his generosity and exemplary commitment to paving the road ahead for athletes from all backgrounds and walks of life, as well as his commitment to the sports culture of the Western Cape.
The Brees Dream Foundation has contributed 45 million dollars so far to causes including the fight against cancer, improving lives for the communities of New Orleans and Louisiana, and most recently, Covid relief.
